Yellow Rose Award
Cornerstone United Methodist Church helped the Jennifer Beach Foundation and the Covington Domestic Violence Task Force raise awareness about domestic violence in our community. Volunteers included Stan and Kathy Gardner, Lane Strickland, Tina and Eddie Brown, Jeff and Gayla Hiss, Mike and Patti Barile, Brian and Joanne Heineman, and Nillofur Beach (photographer). Information packets were delivered to 151 businesses in Covington in June 2006. These packets included material on domestic violence, its impact on our community, tools for employers having to address the impact of domestic violence in the work place, and other related items.
2007 Golf Fundraiser A Big Success
The Jennifer Beach Foundation's first "Scramble for Safe Families" annual golf tournament was a big success. The foundation was able to net $23,000 from this event, a huge boost forward for our fundraising efforts. Over the short-term, we hope to use these resources to expand the reach of service programs like our financial literacy classes for survivors of domestic violence. We also hope to continue to build our donor base and income stream so we can make our service offerings sustainable, offer more programs to more people in need, and continue to partner with other local agencies to help them achieve ...

A women’s support group for victims and survivors of domestic violence is being offered by the Jennifer Beach Foundation. This support group meets every other Thursday from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Our hope is to break down barriers of isolation, and provide a supportive atmosphere and a forum to discuss the effects of domestic violence on victims and survivors....
